“Faggot!”
I couldn’t see exactly who said it. One of those guys working on that house, I guess.
I didn’t want to stare in their direction. I pretended not to hear.
I’m sure whoever said it would like nothing more than for me to respond and give him an excuse to beat me to a pulp.
So I just kept walking.
And in the back of my mind I said to myself, ‘Man, if you had any idea what my sex life was like, you would know how silly your insult is.’

I walked by. Head forward. And I thought of all the crazy sexual experiences of the past few years. How did I get so lucky? I’m not in a band. I’m not rich. My penis is average sized, at best. (And curves to the right…but that’s a different story.) Was I some sort of Saint in a previous life? How did I get from tragically insecure teenager to swinging nudist sex activist?

Good question.
