Why do we need a new category of porn?

Because porn is becoming one of the battlegrounds in a morality war. The same morality war that split us into blue and red states. And that seeks to criminalize sexual deviation.

In response, a new type of porn production and mentality is taking shape. One that views sex as the ultimate frontier for creative expression and moral liberation.

We have entered the era of the New Porn Wars. And we should be scared.
Some people are so freaked out about sex…it is mindblowing.

Yes, some sex is unhealthy. Yes, some porn is unhealthy.
And some is healing. And some is transcendent…The government should not be in charge of deciding which is which.

There is some “punk” overlap with alt-porn and fetish realms, but ult-porn is more about the “intention” behind the smut, as opposed to any tattoo of piercing aesthetic.

Sometimes crudely amateur, most important is the use of a sex as an expression of art, body politics, evangelical exhibitionism, and sometimes even spirituality.

In ult-porn, sex is not just for kicks. It is a sacred war.

Ult porn tries to make people see the positive side of their sexuality (even when it’s really nasty)

Ult-porn stands proudly and decrees itself a healthy expression of art. Whether you like (or are repulsed by) the final product isn’t important…in fact, it is part of the art. Porn becomes a tool to enlighten and inspire. To liberate ourselves from our socialization. To exercise and develop our internal sexual reactors.

We live in a culture where we are raised to be ashamed of our sexuality…embarrassed by our desires…and sometimes even persecuted for loving practices.

As Pat Benatar said, “Love is a battlefield.”

And Ult-porn is the newest weapon in the arsenal.
